The Rotary Club of Waukee is hosting their third annual musical event on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Centennial Park in Waukee, Iowa. Previously known as the "Bar-B-Kee Bash", Waukee Rotary has rebranded this event to focus on fun for the whole family: adding in a focus on youth music within the Des Metro metro community. Food trucks will be on site, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, and youth activities will be available making this an event for all ages!
During the afternoon and early evening, 15-20 youth music groups and solo acts will have the opportunity to perform before the main act. Each group will receive 15 minutes of stage time.
Big Time Grain Company will be headlining this event in the evening. Big Time Grain Company is one of the fastest rising country bands in the Midwest.
This band was the only act to perform at the Royal's baseball team World Series Celebration Rally for nearly 1 million people at Union Station. Recently, their hit "Hard to Want" was featured on a nationwide NFL broadcast of a Chiefs/Raiders game. Big Time Grain Company has opened for the following acts: Big and Rich, Luke Combs, Dan & Shay, Gary Allan, Travis Tritt, and many others.
With a large country following in the Des Moines Metro, Waukee Rotary is excited to draw a large crowd at Centennial Park to bring a community together to show support for both local youth musical acts and rising country stars.
